How it works

Three steps, then we keep watch

Setting up an event takes about five minutes. After that there is nothing to check.

  1. Pin your site

Search for the venue or postcode and drop the pin where the structures stand. We use the Met Office forecast for that exact point.

  2. Add each structure and its limit

Gazebos, stalls, marquees, stage roofs. Set the rated gust limit from the manufacturer's certificate, or start from the typical figure and adjust.

  3. Get an email when the level changes

We check every forecast hour up to seven days ahead. When gusts come within 5mph of a limit you hear about it, and again when it is clear to stand down.

    Red for Sunday 19:00

Market stalls are 14mph over their limit. Email sent to 3 people.
